It all started with a little boy who was getting a new baby sister. I had to make him a shirt so he could tell the world how proud of her he is! (the shirt is actually from Walmart, but I did the personalizing!)Then, of course, she had to have one also! Lucky for me I found this lovely purple onesie at Walmart, so I didn't need to dye one myself. Love it!
I love baby feet, but I also love little baby shoes. These were so much fun to crochet....although to hide my mistakes I had to add the cute little butterfly buttons! I have a feeling that if little girls' grandma and one certain great-aunt are around, these mary jane booties will be ripped right off to adore her little toes!
Months before she arrived I ordered the fabric to make her a set of quilted bibs. I was only able to finish two....I haven't learned to free quilt yet and I kept getting sidetracked with other cute things. Cute things to make and my own three little cute things tearing around my house!
It took me a few weeks to get them to the post office once I finished. Why is that such a problem? I hate going there! Oh well, I know the little sweetie received her package, so I'm safe to post the pics now! Enjoy Little Miss :)Noah and Olivia just had a new cousin! So I went back to bib making and customizing a onesie!
I had heard that Daddy didn't want his little girl in all kinds of frilly pink, so I thought these fabrics were fun yet still girly. And who doesn't love a baby booty adorned with ruffles?! I can't wait to see a picture of that little butt all scrunched up in these ruffles!

This and That
Busy. Summer is off to a quick start, and I know that in a blink of my eyes my little V will be starting K at summer's end. We're trying to make the most of the summer, for starting in August our lives will be dictated by the school calendar.
Enjoying this summer weekend we: enjoyed a late lunch. chicken salad (using the minimum of ingredients found in my kitchen!) on top of a bed of FRESH, just cut salad greens from the garden. frozen bluebies on top ( because that's all I had!) and whole grain crackers. Yum.Two new pairs of sleep pants for V. The kitty fabric she spotted in JoAnns and "had to have it for p.j.s", and the Amy Butler is leftover from another project. Again, I worked with whatever I had in the house....no elastic for the waist? I used Daddy's old tshirt to make a drawstring!
There you have it.....a taste of our Saturday. Aren't you so happy that I spared you all of the whining and fighting and messy house making that also occured? Now I'm off to relax and enjoy the rest of my weekend. Happy days to you!!
