Mondays. My husband's alarm goes off entirely too early on Monday mornings. Lucky for me, I get to curl back up under the covers and stay for awhile. Since I no longer work outside of the home I don't dread Mondays like many (except for that early alarm sound) It is Monday I find myself with the most energy, with high hopes of conquering the never-ending list of household chores. It's Monday that I think I can tackle it all.....until I soon become overwhelmed with the mess the weekend has left the home in. I consider the weekend my "days off" too, albeit a mother never has a day off! I am a fortunate Mama. Not only am I getting to be home with our children for the time being, but our children want to help clean rather than play. At least that was the case this Monday morning!

This sweet little darling, who just got her ears pierced this weekend, helped by unloading the silverware from the dishwasher and putting them away. She then helped reload the dishwasher and started handwashing a few things. She does a good job and lasted until her brothers (aka bothers) came along. See the stack of dishes? All washed by the kiddos! One little one was much better at washing than the other. Little boy in blue was way too involved with pouring water and

introducing pirate to the adventure! Washing dishes soon became water play with pirates and ships floating down the river. Little voices went from dishtalk to "Yo, Ho, Ho, I'm floating down the river. Rrrrr, I'm going to get you." And I'll spare you the mess that was on the floor. No worries, it's due for a good scrub down anyway!
