Finding Humor in the Chaos

I think sometimes I need to put Mommy in time out. Today has been one of those mornings....actually, it's safe to say that today has been the most difficult of days since I became a stay-at-home mama. Everyone is complaining...and as we know with two year olds, complaining equates to whining, crying, and screaming. Today, V fits into the two year old category. It seems she's forgotten all words, and her only form of communication is to stand at my feet and whimper....arms held up and crying "up-uh." Just like her brothers.

They are starting to teeth again. I remember with V the two year molars were so painful. Needless to say, that's why they are following me everywhere, and I suppose explains the throwing of food when they try to eat.

I'm taking a time out right now only because the doorbell rang, and what happened made me laugh out loud. It's probably not a great idea to be writing this now. I've been in the playroom with the kids trying to find the floor. I had things sorted and ready to place back into their designated baskets. Do you think it's safe to say those toys will NOT be in their sorted piles when I go back up?

I run downstairs, answer the door, sign for the package, put the box in the office and just happen to catch a glimpse of my lovely self in the mirror. LOL You've got to be kidding me. I probably gave the Fedex guy quite a laugh too. I just hope he doesn't think I was serious. I hope he doesn't think I'm a 40 yr old woman who really wears a pink hairbow clipped into my bangs. So you know, it was one of many things on the playroom floor that didn't belong in there. I clipped it in my hair b/c there was no other sensible pile to sort it into!

The little pink hairbow doesn't look so cute on me, but I'm loving it. I think I might wear it the rest of today, because it's brought laughter to this chaotic morning. The next time you find yourself needing a time out, just find a little pink hairbow and clip it in your hair :)

LOL! I've been there! I'm wondering when my girls are going to get their 2 yr molars. So far there's no sign of them. And Luke acts like the girls frequently, too. It the most annoying thing!!

Too funny! I've done the hairbow thing before except I didn't answer the door with it. I clipped it in while cleaning and forgot about it until hours later. It was funny to look in the mirror and see it!!!

Thank goodness for the little humors in the day that make ones that are almost unbearable humorous. I had one of those days yesterday. Todays not much better. At all. I think I need to take a nap. :)

Oh boy have I had some of those days lately! Love that you can find the humor, though. That's a lifesaver in those instances!

And I've totally done the hair bow thing!!:)

I am sure the Fed Ex guy has seen some crazy moms at the door before.

It is always important to take a time out and see the humor in the chaos. I will certainly try and keep a pink bow handy :)
