One Way

Note to self:

The next time you cut into new fabric, please...

  1. Be wide awake. No more of this cross-eyed business.
  2. Treat the headache you've had all day....better yet, pick a different day to cut!
  3. Slow down. Resist the urge. Just because the fabric is so darn cute doesn't mean you have to cut tonight.
  4. It's too cold for sundresses anyway.
  5. Pay attention to ONE WAY pattern design on your oh so cute fabric. Wouldn't be "oh so cute" upside down, no would it?

Lesson Learned.....I hope.

We'll see.

You might hear more about this was-so-cute fabric in a few days. Problem is....it might end up fitting the boys, which I don't think Daddy would like!

I've so done all of that. I almost chalked a dress up to the upside-down-pear-dress because I sewed half of it, well, upside down. We live and learn. Experience is key whilst learning to sew:)

Oh no! That's such a bummer! I'm all about sewing while cross-eyed lately....the only time I've had available to sew is after 9 pm and by then I'm toast. I just keep reminding myself I used to do my best work while totally sleep deprived. Of course, that was twenty years ago when I was in college and could still function on little sleep. Perhaps it no longer applies..... hmmmm....
