Deee - lish - us......exactly how the kids would pronounce and describe the sweetness happening in this kitchen! They've been a little lucky lately in the sweets department. Their momma isn't normally a big dessert eater, but something has come over me lately. It all started with chocolate cake for the twins' birthday....followed by chocolate cupcakes when the cake was gone. Then, I cleaned out the fridge and freezer and made banana bread with some frozen bananas I had. I think that loaf disappeared overnight. Yesterday, the sweet tooth struck again. I searched, but had already eaten every candy bar that was floating around in our cupboards. So, while the kids napped, I refused the laundry piles and pleased my unusual cravings for sweets. I had everything I needed to whip up chocolate chip cookies.....and even more unlike me, I delighted in the cookie dough while baking.
I think these will be gone by tomorrow.
Lucky for us, we have another birthday in the house next week! The recipient has a favorite that we will also take great pleasure in.....icecream cake!

Yummy!! I go through phases of sweets, too. Although I can never seem to have all the right ingredients on hand when the craving hits!

I just wanted to say that I was very cautious about taking my girls camping for the first time....but they loved it. Your boys will love being outside and they find so much great stuff in nature to entertain themselves :) And they sleep soooo good at night after a long day of play :)
