I found this cute crochet bag pattern several months ago and had it on my to try list. I am so glad I did. It was very easy and quick, which are two very important keys to me! The entire bag is worked in hdc. I didn't take time to check my gauge, and my bag did turn out about an inch taller. I see that as more room! I WILL make more!

The worst part was lining the bag. This was a first for me. It had to be handstitched, and I really wasn't sure what I was doing. I adore the lining fabric! It was a fat quarter from Joanns. I didn't like how the instructions were written for adding the magnetic snap, which is why you don't see one. It had me sewing the snap on after the lining was in place. Maybe this is just my ignorance, but the snap I found does not get sewn on. I would have to rip out the lining to properly install the magnetic closure....something I'm not willing to risk! So, for the closure I'm thinking about other options.

The pattern shows a flower sewn onto the bag, thus the name In Bloom. I'm thinking of making a flower in these colors. I LOVE chocolate brown and green! What do you think? Flower or no?

Very cute! You could put on a button enclosure...crochet a button hole flap on one side and sew a big button on the other side... just an idea. I love that lining fabric, too. Very cute! I'll have to check out the fat quarters at Joann's because I could totally see that fabric in a quilt.
I'd crochet the flower on in your colors. It would look great! In fact, you could crochet your buttonhole tab in chocolate and find a coordinating button...it'd complement your flower nicely. Hmmm. I might have to crochet one of those. You've inspired me!
Ohhhh..it turned out SO cute! I would definitely add the flower....maybe you could make different flowers and pin them on to match different outfits!!!???
Look at you girl. You are getting so dang amazing with all your craftiness. This purse is adorable. I think those colors will be a great accent.
I love the bag and would do Kristens suggestion but I would lose all the other flowers or never take the time to switch them.
Looks awesome! Look at you go with all your craftiness!
I think the flower would be awesome!
